Willowton Oil & Cake Mills, a wholly owned family business, began operations in 1970. Through the foresight of the late Dawood Moosa (known as DH) and his sons – the business has, over the years, established itself as one of the leading expressers of oilseeds and refiners of edible oils.
Using state-of-the-art technology and hands-on experience, Willowton Oil & Cake Mills diversified into the manufacture of candles, toilet and laundry soaps, margarine and spreads, as well as baking, chocolate and industrial fats.

Our heritage...
Situated in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Willowton Oil & Cake Mills expanded its operations to incorporate its manufacturing, packaging and distribution capabilities to the extent that it now also has operations in Isando (Johannesburg) and Maitland (Cape Town). Through these expansions, Willowton Oil & Cake Mills are able to provide better service and continuous supply to their customers, including leading chain stores, supermarkets, wholesalers, retailers, independents and food manufacturers nationwide. A central technical centre with latest technology ensures that high standards of quality are maintained at all times and the company is always striving to develop new products and further improve the existing quality of products manufactured under the Willowton banner.
Willowton is exporting aggressively and some of its brands “Sunfoil”, “Britelite”, “Cameo”, “More”, “Romi”, “D’Lite”, “Sungold” and “Daily” – are asked for by consumers in the markets of Southern and Central Africa, the Middle east, the Far East, Europe and the United States of America.
